The identification of functional connectivity patterns related to cognitive impairment may provide important insights about the mechanisms of neurodegeneration to monitor the progress of dementia. In this work, we constructed the functional connectivity networks from resting state fMRI data of a mixed cohort of ADNI dataset. We performed a stability analysis of several network configurations that emerge from the application of different percolation thresholds to derive information about the brain regions most stably linked to cognitive decline. Our findings reveal that only a small number of subcortical regions exhibit topological properties that are stably linked to cognitive decline, and that these properties can be represented distinctly with centrality, influence, and clustering indices.
